Cathy Huston Age 64

In my younger years, I was highly active. I was involved in sports such as volleyball, basketball, baseball and track and field both at school and recreational. I even won female ‘athlete of the year’ in grade 6. Sport was my thing right through to grade 9. While in high school I played racket ball on the weekends as well as some cross-country skiing.

Fast forward to about 7 years ago when I was

I have been on medication ever since then, which has helped immensely.

I was not doing much mainly walking and some hiking. It was not that I could not do anything, I just didn’t find the right thing. I kept thinking that I should join a fitness class or some sort of gym, but I kept putting it off. It was always “I’ll look into it tomorrow “.

Then about 5 1/2 years ago, I started receiving Facebook messages about a super 60 program. I thought that this would be something that I would be interested in as everyone would be around my age. I then went for an assessment.

Pauline did my assessment and I agreed to give this a try for one month. After my first class, I was hooked.

This group welcomed me with open arms. There was loud music, laughter, and great workouts. I now workout 4 to 5 times a week.

Pauline, you are an amazing coach. Your dedication and commitment to myself and to everyone is priceless. I feel like I have become stronger and have more energy. I find that I can now do a bit more with the 12-to-20-pound weights, even deadlift the 25 lb. I have the much-needed energy to keep up with the grandkids.

As for everyone else, I am so glad that I have met each and everyone one of you. Your laughter and encouragement have meant a lot to me. Pauline you are the best and I will be forever grateful for all that you have done and will continue to do not only for me but for all of us.

Unfortunately, we had to close the gym because if COVID-19. It was shortly after that the zoom classes started up. It did not take long for me to realize that these classes would work out great. The only thing is that I miss my workout buddies, not being able to see them in person. Hopefully soon we can all be back in the gym.
